BLOODHOUND SSC Cockpit Display and Electronics software engineer needed
What’s the opportunity?
We are looking for a WPF C# .net software engineer with some electronics skills to form part of the team responsible for the cockpit displays and some of the driver interfaces for the BLOODHOUND Supersonic Car. It would be advantageous to be familiar with C or C++. We are looking for someone who could start without delay in the vicinity of Avonmouth, Bristol.

What will you be doing?
- Driver displays created in WPF and C#.
- Integrating bespoke electronic control interfaces to the displays (serial based interfaces).
- Integrating displays with rest of car’s Ethernet-based communication system and car data.
- Other related systems work.

Who and what we are looking for from you?
- You will ideally have a good degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Science related subject combined with significant experience in the development of GUI interfaces and integration with electronics. You will have been responsible for complex software solutions and will be comfortable working with engineers from other disciplines. It would be desirable, but not essential for your experience to have been gained in automotive, aerospace, telecoms or consumer electronics.
- You will favour a collaborative, open approach to development. Strong communication skills and the ability to take initiative are essential.
- Ideally you will have a background in software engineering with good knowledge of modern development practices.
- You will have significant previous experience with embedded C and/or C++.
- You will have significant previous experience with integrating software with hardware.
- It is desirable that you have experience with Matlab and Simulink.
- It is desirable that you have experience with PCB design software e.g. Eagle PCB.
- It is desirable that you can read wiring diagrams.
- It is desirable for you to help maintain relationships with Project sponsors.

- You must be willing to be involved and work with other disciplines, we are a small team and everyone's opinion counts.
- You must be dynamic and willing to stretch yourself in an extremely demanding project.
